About Ohana
Ohana is a non-profit organization based in Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia. We have been working on specific issues such as policy advocacy, disability rights and policy studies as well as legal drafter for social policies. Our organization has been initiated on March 2009 and it has been officially registered as a Non Government Organization on July 6, 2012. Ohana founders and members are the International Fellowship Program Alumnae who have existed on social justice and community development for the marginalized population in Indonesia.
Our Scope
OHANA works in sub National, National and Global level in promoting rights of persons with disabilities based on the Convention on the Rights Persons with Disabilities. Since Indonesia has ratified the Convention in 2011, OHANA as a disability rights based organization, we continue promoting and upholding rights of persons with disabilities in all sectors of development.

OHANA has been partnering with funding organizations such as Direct Aid Program of the Australian Embassy, Disability Rights Fund/ Disability Rights Advocacy Funds, The Ford Foundation, Global Mobility, LOREAL PARIS , NUSANTARUN, SOMPO Welfare Foundation, UN Trust Funds , UN World Food Program, VOICE, Women’s Fund Asia and the private companies that support Corporate Social Responsibility.
